#JCaliBlog : 75th Golden Globes Favorite Looks

As it had been reported months ago from outlets such as PopSugar, and Entertainment Weekly, among many others, starlets would be wearing all black to the 75th annual Golden Globes in support of the Time's Up movement, aimed at bringing awareness to fighting against sexual harassment and inequality in the workplace. With that being said, witnessing actors and activists side by side, and as Giuliana Rancic said "tonight it's not about who you are wearing but why you are wearing black", this set the tone for a powerful evening full of individuals with a platform in solidarity.

Many viewers as myself tuned in to the E! red carpet to see how the starlets and activists took on the black attire dress code, and I was not disappointed. From shoulder details, to a creative way to wear the Time's Up pin, and a lot of sparkle here is my take on my favorite looks from the 75th Golden Globes.

Giuliana Rancic

It would be unfair to start my list of favorite looks, without first mentioning one of the red carpet hosts, Giuliana Rancic. It was great to see her and Ryan Seacrest back on the red carpet, and it was so moving how she set the tone for a night of asking the question "why are you wearing black." Giuliana is a fashionsita, so it was no surprise that she looked so stylish but what I enjoyed most was how complete her look was with all the other details, like makeup and hair. Truly a great ensemble. Credit to her sparkly dress by Sherri Hill, makeup by Daniel Deleno, and hair by Nick Stenson.

Susan Kelechi Watson

Recognized for her role in This Is Us, Susan Kelechi Watson also joined the movement of Time's Up in an all black attire and made sure to stand out. In a wide-leg jumpsuit courtesy of Monsoori, it was a very elegant yet sexy look that definitely shimmered throughout the red carpet. Plus paired with a simple black t-strap heel it made the look very easy to follow visually from head to toe. Finally, can't forget a big staple, the deep plunging neckline which added the extra touch of wow-factor to the look.

Zuri Hall

While her personality and talent as showcased on E! have made people fall in love with her, it's Zuri Hall's fashion game that contributes to her as a standout talent. She can wear anything and it looks so good on her. Especially with this Golden Globes look, courtesy of Bronx And Banco, the polkadots paired with a tutu layered bottom make the look very youthful and fresh to the carpet. Plus with the high neck-line collar lace detail it elevates her look to not look too young. Finally, the short beach wave hair with a pop of blue in the eye detail, was such a great way to edge it up. Credit to hair by Abraham Esparza, and makeup by Niki Metz

Issa Rae

2017 was truly the year for Issa Rae, this award season she is set to be receiving many more nominations and to start a good award season she had to bring her A-Game to the year's first red carpet. She did not disappoint in an Atelier Prabal Gurung dress that consisted of ruffled shoulders that extended to the back with straps, and an elegant slit on the side. Plus the perfect way to standout in an all black attire is to sparkle, and she sure did with the metallic fabric that this one of a kind dress was made out of.

Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie's professional endeavors and fashion journey have evolved with each season, and I lived for last night's look. As she supported the Time's Up movement in all black, she made sure to add a special touch with a low-neck dress. This custom Gucci elegant dress featured some shoulder pads detail, plus three-dimensional floral embroidery in the lower half of the dress. It was a great look all around to standout while formally fitting in at a night full of full on black attires.

Noah Schnapp

Now for the men, there were many stars that brought a different touch to showcasing their all black attire such as Armie Hammer and Milo Ventimiglia, but it was Noah Schnapp that represented the look best. By also wearing black in support of the Time's Up movement, Noah found a creative and different way to wear his pin by featuring it on a stoll. Now that may sound so ordinary, but with a night full of stars rocking it traditionally I really enjoyed his out of the box touch. Also, in a double breasted Balmain suit he definitely made sure to have a full-on fashion moment of his own.
